BROKEN-HEARTED Apollo Jackson was "pretty teary for a while" after Bachelorette Sophie Monk expelled him from the mansion. But he's already set his sights on becoming the next Bachelor.

"It would work, people have seen me on the show - I guess they've seen a snapshot but there's so much more to me," the handsome magician told News Corp.

"I'm still looking for love but I'd want to attract the right girls who are in it for the right reasons."

The 24-year-old from the Gold Coast, whose real name is Jake Spence, made it to the top three contestants contending for Monk's heart, before he was rejected leaving just Sydney pub baron Stu Laundy, 44, and Melbourne vineyard manager Jarrod Woodgate, 31, in the running.

With viewers dubbing Woodgate a "stage-five clinger" for his intense and "creepy" fixation on Monk, many were shocked he was chosen over handsome magician Jackson.

"I was crushed, I was heartbroken, even when she (Monk) took me outside to talk I was fighting back tears," he said.

Leaving the mansion, Jackson ordered himself "a bunch" of pizzas and read over the detailed journal he'd kept during the process, comforting himself with complex carbohydrates and memories of Monk.

"I comfort ate to get over it. Doesn't everyone?" he confessed.

Despite being pipped by Woodgate, Jackson revealed he wouldn't be mimicking any of his "stage-five clinger" behaviours if he becomes the next Bachelor.

"Nah, I think I'm just going to try and be myself, in every situation," he said.

He's also left the house believing it is a "100 per cent equal playing field" between Woodgate and Laundy.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Jarrod proposed. He was developing really strong feelings. He even dropped the 'L' bomb last episode," said Jackson.

The Bachelorette finale airs 7.30pm, tomorrow, on TEN.
