Barba brothers will both play for Brisbane Broncos

THE brothers Barba will join forces at the Brisbane Broncos for the upcoming NRL season.

Having made the high-profile signing of 2012 Dally M medallist Ben Barba a couple of months ago, the Broncos yesterday announced his younger brother Marmin would sign for the club.

The boys' father Ken said he was extremely proud of his sons and couldn't wait to see them team up in Brisbane next year.

"I'm excited for him to be able to do the pre-season with his brother and push himself," he said.

"We're very excited that he's got the chance to play with Ben, and Ben's excited that he's got his brother there with him. They're enjoying each others company at the moment.

"I just wish them all the luck. I'm glad they're able to start fresh and I can't wait to see what the season holds for them."

Marmin, 22, was signed at Parramatta Eels when he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer in his groin when he was 19.

Having fought off cancer, the Gold Coast Titans gave Marmin a lifeline with a two-year deal.

He played the 2013 season with one of the Titans' feeder clubs Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup after returning from a serious knee injury.
