Barramundi coastal fishing ban in place from noon today

FISHERS are reminded barramundi will be off limits in Queensland's east coast waters from noon today until noon February 1 next year.

Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol district officer Coby Walker said the closure was to protect barramundi stock during their spawning season when they were most vulnerable.
