Beauty business dig deeps for drought-affected farmers

GROWING up in regional Victoria, Angela Walters knows too well the impacts drought has on families.

In an effort to give back to those struggling in today's drought, the co-owner of Rockhampton beauty spa Beaucare has gone above and beyond to raise money for the cause.

The local business held a range of fundraisers recently and mustered up funds to the tune of $1592.96 to donate to Aussie Helpers and Drought Angels.

"I saw how hard my dad did it in the drought as a child and knew how hard they'd be struggling,” Ms Walters said.

Beaucare dedicated 50 per cent of takings on the fundraiser day to the cause as well takings from a range of clinic promotions, morning teas, raffles, lucky dips and much more.

Ms Walters said they could not have raised the much-needed funds without the ongoing help from their clients.
