Benevolent Homes looks to celebrating 150 years service
THE Board of Rockhampton Benevolent Homes Society held their Annual General Meeting at Benevolent Aged Care on Wednesday, 28th October. Invited guests included Life Members, Local Councillors, current & past volunteers and staff; services providers and residents.
Benevolent Aged Care has a proud tradition of serving the elderly in our local community since 1866 and next year the facility will be celebrating 150 years of service through visionary leadership.
Reports were presented by the CEO - Alison Moss; Chairman - Kevin Hogan and Treasurer - Dale Volling, all of which celebrated the successes of Benevolent Aged Care over the last 12 months.
During the Chair's report, Kevin Hogan highlighted the successful application for 36 new bed licences which is the main focus for the board into the future which includes a major expansion of the facility.
Elected members to the Board for 2015/16 are as follows:

A special presentation was made to Sr Josephine in acknowledgement of the support and pastoral care she has given to Benevolent Aged Care and it's residents for more than 30 years.
