A FIVE-minute trailer for the Big Bang Theory spin-off, Young Sheldon, has been released and we've gotta say it actually looks pretty good.
The show is set in Texas in 1989 and follows nine-year-old Sheldon Cooper who is played by Iain Armitage.
Due to his genius IQ, Sheldon is bumped up to high school but struggles to fit in with students and teachers.
Jim Parsons, who plays the grown up Sheldon Cooper in the Big Bang Theory, will narrate the show which he described as "a little bit Wonder Years, a little bit Doogie Howser".
Young Sheldon will make its US TV debut in September this year but there's no word yet if or when we'll see it on free-to-air in Australia.
