"My commitment to stand for Mayor again in 2016 remains firm" Sharyn Oneill

Bill Ludwig says foreshore importance cannot be overstated

Bill Ludwig

THIS has been a truly defining time for Livingstone Shire.

Despite major challenges of de-amalgamating and one of our worst natural disasters ever, Livingstone has re-established itself as an independent community with one of the most proactive councils in the region.

Standout achievements have been our exceptional track-record in securing an extraordinary $55 million in vital State and Federal government grants for major infrastructure and job creating economic development projects.

Council's other key focus has been on strategic planning and the major infrastructure investment required for our projected strong population growth.

In growing our economy and creating jobs the importance of both the Yeppoon and Emu Park Foreshore Revitalisation Master Plan projects cannot be overstated.

Here the focus will be on ensuring our community gets world class designs that both preserve and enhance the unique natural character and beauty that makes this such a special place to live.

My commitment to stand for Mayor again in 2016 remains firm and will ensure our community has the choice of strong leadership, experience and continued ability to win the major funding grants needed to meet the challenges ahead.
