Blackwater's week of break ins, crashes and domestic violence

IT hasn't exactly been a quiet week on the streets of Blackwater.

In a round-up of the area's offences, Sergeant Rob Smith details a series of robberies, break ins and crashes that had occurred in the short time period.

Officers were also called to a number of reported domestic violence incidents, however due to the nature of these incidents, police cannot provide any further information, but would like to thank the community for reporting the issues.

Thefts:

Between January 30 and February 1 it is alleged a lock was damaged at a home in Fay St.

Further investigations are continuing, so police are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this matter to contact Crime Stoppers quote reference number QP1700194842.

Between January 27 and February 2, it is alleged a break and enter occurred at a dwelling in Fern St.

It is reported that a quantity of property was stolen.

On February 7 it is alleged a break and enter occurred at a dwelling in Oak St.

It is reported that a quantity of property was stolen.

On February 4, it is alleged a shop stealing offence occurred at a business on Railway St.

Traffic crashes:

Between 8.30am and 11am on February 4, it is alleged a two vehicle traffic crash occurred on Birt St.

As a result damage was sustained to the vehicles involved and further investigations are continuing.

At approximately 9.40pm on February 4, it is alleged a single vehicle traffic crash occurred on Bauman Way.

A 19-year-old man was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for failing to maintain control.

At approximately 2.30pm on February 1, it is alleged a single vehicle truck crash occurred on Capricorn Highway, Bluff.

A 28-year-old man received minor injuries, and officers were required to close the road for a period of time during the clean-up and recovery operation.

On February 2, it is alleged a stealing from a vehicle offence occurred at Bendee Cres.

Disturbances:

During the evening of February 6, it is alleged a disturbance occurred on Bauhinia St, Blackwater.

Police have issued a 21-year-old male with a Notice to Appear for the offence of public nuisance.

He will be required to appear in the Blackwater Magistrates Court on a later date.
