The Block Glasshouse hammers its TV rivals
WHILE some may be questioning if the outcome of The Block Glasshouse was fair to all of the contestants, it's now clear that Channel Nine was the real winner.
The final episodes of the home, or office, renovation series dominated all competitors on Sunday night.
The Winner Announced episode was the top program, with metro viewer numbers peaking at 3.879 million across capital cities and regional areas.
The second highest-rating show on Sunday night - surprise, surprise - was also The Block, with its auction episode.
In each capital city and regional areas, its audience topped out at 3.776 million, with an average of about 3.15 million.
The general Grand Final episode won its timeslot, peaking at 2.353 million in metro areas.
The Nine Network happily announced it "won the night" with The Block in a statement on Monday morning.
So while some of the Blockheads might be scratching their noggins about how they only ended up with $10,000 for three months' work.
Channel Nine will no doubt be pouring the bubbly.
