Boilermaker wins $2 million

A GLADSTONE boilermaker was a little bit flustered this morning, when he learned he had won $2,064,494 in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw.

The man, who was overwhelmed with the news of his new multimillionaire status, explained that he had no idea he was a winner until he visited a Golden Casket outlet this morning to have his Gold Lotto entry checked.

He said he had been placing an entry in every Saturday for around 30 years.

The Gladstone man purchased his System 9 entry from Nextra Valley News in Goondoon Street, Gladstone.

He was one of two division one winners nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3161.

The other division one winning entry was claimed by a pensioner from Ballarat in Victoria.

The winning numbers were 2, 6, 12, 18, 44 and 45 with the supplementary numbers 28 and 32.
