Det Sen Sgt Phil Hurst said the boy's tee-shirt alone could not have resulted in the intensity of the fire that engulfed his body.

He has called for anyone who witnessed the incident to talk to police.

Det Sen Sgt Hurst said police had spoken to a number of people who had witnessed the aftermath but have yet to speak to anyone who was certain about how it had happened.

Isaac underwent further surgery last night and faces more as doctors deal with the second and third degree burns to his body.
