Breakfast DJ Brad lops his locks for Annie’s Daddy Warbucks

BRAD Villiers has a new look - and it is all for the sake of theatre.

The Sea FM breakfast announcer shaved his head to play the part of Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in the musical Annie Jr.

Brad made the shave live on air yesterday and even had his co-star, Georgiana Russell, who plays Annie, on hand.

"Georgie got to shave the hair off, but I had a professional from Just Cuts here as well to finish it off," Brad said.

He was pretty nervous about the whole shaving ordeal, and wasn't sure what to expect.

"I was very nervous about what my head would look like underneath, you know, years of playing footy and being hit and cut on the head," Brad said.

"But it turned out okay; people haven't run out of the room.

"But I'll need to get a fake tan."

Brad originally was hoping he'd get away with wearing a bald cap for the musical.

"My hair was too thick to use a bald cap for the part, so I just decided to shave it," he said.

"It's the most dedication I've put into a role so far, I think."

Brad and Georgie will play the leads in Annie Jr.
