UPDATE: Skater taken to hospital with possible spinal injuries

UPDATE: A male in his mid-teens has been transported to hospital after he was found lying injured in the middle of a Yeppoon road.

The young man was reportedly found bleeding from the head around 3.30pm this afternoon on Lamberton St.

QAS attended the scene where it is understood spinal precautions were used.

He has since been taken to Capricorn Coast Hospital where he is listed in a stable condition.

It is unknown at this time what caused the boy's accident.

INITIAL: Paramedics are currently responding to a teenage boy who has fallen off a skateboard and reportedly suffered head injuries in Yeppoon.

It is understood the boy, aged 16, was found in the middle of road on Lamberton St bleeding from his head.

He is reportedly confused and doesn't know what has happened.
