BREAKING: Young man dies in Bruce Hwy crash tragedy

9.15AM: A 29-YEAR-OLD man has died in a single vehicle crash north of Rockhampton this morning.

Initial investigations indicate a while Toyota Landcruiser was travelling along the Bruce Hwy, about 20km south of the Waverly Creek rest area near Ogmore, when it left the road and crashed just before 4am.

The 29-year-old male driver, from St Lawrence, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to call Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The highway has since re-opened.
