Bucking good times on Sunday
A SENSATIONAL Yeppoon Lions' version of running with the bulls, for which the Spanish city of Pamplona is so famous, will feature three of the biggest, comic, manned and inflated bulls in a one-to-three kilometre race with open foot runners for $800 in prize money Sunday, October 15.
The inflated bovines were released for their first training run with a Year 4 class at Yeppoon State Primary School, on the oval, charging across the turf with students in hot pursuit.
Branded Yeppoon Pinefiesta Running with the Bulls 2017, with inflated bulls manned by three volunteers from the event sponsor CQ Waste, Shaun, Kurt and Petrof, Yeppoon Lions have laid a claim to the first running with inflated bulls.
The inaugural running with the bulls will be staged as the huge crowd assembles for this year's 50th Anniversary Pinefest Grand Coal Train Pinefest Street Parade this Sunday, October 15, in Yeppoon.
The bulls will treat spectators with a display of bovine antics leading up to the 1.3km Pinefiesta Running with the Bulls Open Foot Race up and down James and Normanby Sts.
