Bulk waste collections to continue over the weekend in Rocky

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council waste crews will continue working this weekend.

The areas indicated below complete the scheduled areas to receive bulk waste collection.

If households outside of the scheduled areas have items damaged by TC Marcia, please contact council on 07 4932 9000 or 1300 22 55 77.

Your request will be assessed on a case by case basis depending on your location and the goods requiring collection.

Bulk waste collection for cyclone damaged household items will progress as follows:

  • Saturday 7 March - continue in The Range and commence in Park Avenue
  • Sunday 8 March -  commence in Rockhampton City
  • Monday 9 March - commence in Pink Lily and Parkhurst
  • Tuesday 10 March - commence in  Alton Downs and Kawana

Residents of these areas are urged to ensure bulk waste is placed on the footpath in a neat pile, does not obstruct vision of road users (especially on corners) and does not overflow onto the street.

Find out what to put out for bulk waste collection here: http://www.rockhamptonregion.qld.gov.au/About_Council/News_and_Announcements/Latest_News/Waste_Collection_Points_and_Bin_Services_-_Post_TC_Marcia

Green waste should be kept in a different pile and will be collected separately.
