LOVE mexican? You're going to love this!
Delicious burritos, tacos and nachos will soon be served up in the Rockhampton CBD with popular Mexican chain Zambrero one step closer to opening.
Zambrero Rockhampton City owner Colin Dean said the East St store, in the former National Australia Bank building on the corner of Denham St, was expected to open on June 15.
Mr Dean said the store would also be open on the Rockhampton Show Holiday.
He said up to 30 staff members were expected to be hired to work in the new eatery.

Chicken flies out
THEY say the hungry come by the masses. And literally hundreds of hungry residents jammed in for Nando's Rockhampton re-opening on Friday after weeks of waiting.
Lilli Molloy and Jorja Frethey were two locals just craving some of the famous flame-grilled peri-peri flavoured chicken.
Moments after getting stuck into their meals, the pair response at whether they were excited to have the store back was a wholehearted "Yes".
"The chicken is really good quality and it's better than just going to other fast food places," Lilli said.
"At least Nando's is healthier than most.
"I remember the new store which was ok but this new one is really nice. It has an up-market feel now, I like it.
"Usually I just get the chicken strips in barbeque because I can't handle the peri-peri heat but today I got them and they were really good."
Jorja on the other hand mixes it up, going for "whatever she is in the mood for".
"I usually get the wraps, but it depends what I am in the mood for. I like the wide range of food here," she said.
Nando's Rockhampton original general manager Judy Larney said eager locals had flooded their Facebook page asking when they were re-opening.
"We called our refurbishment 'spruce the roost'. Really to give the people of Rockhampton a fresh new restaurant," Judy said at yesterday's unveiling.
"It's been fantastic so far and today we have got our big opening to say thanks for being patient and remind locals that we are back.
"Nothing has changed from the menu, it's still the food they love with a couple of additions to it."
