Bushfire threatens Caves house

UPDATE 2.30pm: Urban and rural firefighters have the blaze which was threatening a property at The Caves under control.

The house and shed escaped damage on the Auton Johnson Rd property.

Two water bombers were used to assist firefighters in controlling the blaze.

BREAKING 12.15pm: Numerous fire crews are battling a blaze near The Caves which is reportedly threatening a local property.

A water-bombing aircraft has been called in to assist.

Rural fire crews from The Caves, Bondoola and Belmont are among those in action.
