Missing bushwalkers found

2PM: FIVE bushwalkers missing at Cannon Valley, in the Whitsundays, have been found.

A RACQ-CQ Rescue crew spotted the men from the air at about 1.15pm, however, they could not winch them into the helicopter due to dense scrub.

The man and four teens each gave the thumbs up to the helicopter crew, which told them to wait where they were until rescuers arrived on foot, a CQ Rescue spokeswoman said.

The men were reported missing after they failed to return from their walk yesterday afternoon.
