Busy intersection cleared after South Rocky crash
UPDATE 9.30am: The crash which stopped traffic on the corner of George and Fitzroy St has been cleared.
Traffic through the intersection has now returned to normal.
UPDATE 8.20am: A Queensland police spokesperson has confirmed the male patient, who was riding a Moped, has been taken to Rockhampton hospital
It is believed the patient, who was reportedly run over by a 4WD while on his Moped, has suffered a suspected broken leg and pelvis.
The scene is still not cleared and traffic is being diverted through the nearby McDonald's carpark.
UPDATE 7.34am: Emergency services are still on scene at the accident which occurred on George and Fitzroy St.
The man is believed to have been freed from under the 4WD and is being transported to the Rockhampton Hospital.
The department of Transport and Main Roads has urged motorists to proceed with caution.
Traffic will be slow moving through the area until the scene is cleared.
7.18am: A MAN is believed to be trapped under a 4WD in South Rockhampton after a two vehicle car crash this morning.
It is reported the 49-years-old male, who was driving the motorcycle involved, is conscious and breathing despite being trapped on the corner of George and Fitzroy St.
Queensland Ambulance service, Queensland Police and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are currently on scene.
The extent of the man's injuries are unknown at this stage.
