Call for Anna to drive the Bruce

BREAKING 8.16pm: THE Liberal National Party called on Premier Anna Bligh, who was visiting Central Queensland today, to drive down the Bruce Highway, following three crashes near Mt Larcom on Monday, including a fatality.

"I don't think people want me driving this road, they want me fixing it," Ms Bligh said.

"That's why we've put in $0.25 billion to road widening 43 kilometres of it and into six new overtaking lanes."
