Callers inundate council
ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council’s customer service centre has been inundated with more than 220 phone calls about storm and water damage.
A council spokeswoman said most had been about fallen trees.
“We are trying to respond as quickly as we can and have all available resources on call-out,” a spokeswoman said.
“The council warns people calling the customer service centre there may be longer than average waits.”
