Turnbull's government is "wishy washy" says Central Qld MP
MEMBER for Capricornia Michelle Landry has labelled the Malcolm Turnbull led Federal Government as 'wishy washy'.
While speaking with southern media, Ms Landry, who is the second most marginal seat holder in the state, said the government has been portrayed in the media as 'not focused' and needs to do a better job of selling its policies.
"I think it's coming across to the public we are wishy-washy," Ms Landry told the ABC.
"We have had a great lot of successes and there is fabulous things that the Government wants to do but I think we have got to focus on getting the economy on track."
Ms Landry's comments come after the latest Newspoll results showed Malcolm Turnbull had fallen out of favour with voters over the past week and for the first time since Tony Abbott's ousting, the Coalition was trailing.
The PM's personal approval rating slipped one point to 38% while Labor leader Bill Shorten's rose four points to 32%.
The results raised concerns with some Government MPs, seemingly including Ms Landry.
Ms Landry said Capricornia voters were confused, feared change and wanted a 'decisive' government.
