Capricornia - prepare for floods

CENTRAL Queenslanders are being warned to prepare for floods this weekend.

Emergency Management Queensland today issued advice amid predictions of heavy rainfall after two cyclones formed off the coast in the past week.

EMQ’s regional director Robbie Medlin says people need to appreciate that there is potential for some communities to become isolated by rising waters and households should make sure they have enough food, water, medication and baby supplies to last for a couple of days.

See tomorrow's Morning Bulletin for a full rundown on EMQ's advice and also the latest forecast from the Rockhampton Bureau of Meteorology's Mike Marrinan.
