Neighbour sees Jeep burn

UPDATE 8.55pm: Firefighters today rushed to a Koongal home, North Rockhampton, about 2pm after a Jeep caught fire.

The neighbour of the car's owner, Leia Hudson, said she heard a fire alarm and rushed outside.

Leia said the car was engulfed in flames and she heard the glass windows of the car break from the heat of the fire.

She said her Dunbar Street neighbour told her he put the keys in the ignition, went upstairs to tell his wife he was going out and when he came downstairs his car was alight.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman could not confirm the cause of the fire.

No-one was injured.
