READER'S VIEW: Who is caring for our Keppel Island?

THANK you Shane Newell for your letter in TMB 10/11/15 and keeping the public informed with up to date information from Our Keppel Our Future on Great Keppel Island.

There is however a few statements you made that seem to be confusing, or amusing, whichever way you want to read it.

You state that vandals have made a mess on the site and Tower is going to clean it up.

So I take it that they will clean up the mess the vandals made but not their mess, which I find amusing as I fail to see how it would be worse than the damage and mess they have made in the first place.

You also said that "we can not put pressure on a company to abide by fictitious lease conditions".

Well, I have read the lease and you have not stated what these "fictitious" conditions are; or do we have to come along to an OKOF meeting to find out, as you have invited anyone who cares about this issue to do just that.

Well Mr Newell, it is that because we do care about Great Keppel Island that we don't come along.
