Carnival at Rockhampton PCYC for youth week a big hit

YOUTH Week ended yesterday but Mitchell Passmore is already looking ahead to next year after the success of the PCYC carnival.

While the weather forced the cancellation of some events last night, the event co-ordinator said he was happy with feedback and numbers through the gate.

The event ran from April 4 until yesterday, and Mitchell estimated 5000 people attended.

"There was lots of positive stuff, people really enjoying it, with the value for money," he said.

"You hear a lot that there's not a lot for youth to do around Rocky, especially for young families.

"The feedback we got was so positive, it's motivation to put another event on like that."

Profits go the PCYC.
