ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council is seeking applications from local charities to benefit from the region's premier Christmas event, Carols by Candlelight, later this year.
A charity will be chosen to receive the donations made by audience members at the 2014 event.
To be considered, the recipient organisation must meet the following criteria: Be based in Rockhampton or service the people of Rockhampton and immediate surrounds; be a registered, incorporated, not-for-profit organisation; and the money donated to the selected charity must be used for a specific activity or purchase, which must be detailed in the application.
Application forms are available from customer service centres or at www.rrc.qld.gov.au (under Your Community> Grants and Sponsorship).
Applications must be received by Wednesday, October 1. More information can be obtained from Rockhampton Regional Council on 49329000.
Carols By Candlelight will be held at Victoria Park on Saturday, December 13 and is a Rockhampton Regional Council event supported by local businesses.
