Catch up with your council

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council is hosting a new program of events that will provide residents with an opportunity to obtain council information specific to their local communities.

The first of these Community Council Catch-up events will be held in Division Two today from 6pm to 8.30pm at the School of Arts Hall, corner of Cawarral Road and Clay Street.

Division Two councillor, Brett Svendsen invites residents of Cawarral, Mount Chalmers, Keppel Sands, Joskeleigh, Coowonga and Nerimbera.

“In speaking to residents last year I identified that there was a keen interest from locals in my division for an event like this to be held,” Cr Brett Svendsen said.

“I encourage all locals to attend the Catch-up so that they can get the latest information, first hand from council on rural roads, services and other key developments.”

A free sausage sizzle will be provided from 6pm to 6.45pm, for a start of 7pm.
