Cats about to pounce onto the stage at Yeppoon
YEPPOON Choral Society will present Andrew Lloyd Webber's acclaimed record-breaking musical Cats to mark its 50th year.
The musical is based on T.S. Elliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
The musical tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they decide to embark on "Jellicle choice" to discover who will be selected to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.
Produced and directed by the commended Laurel Hunt, the rehearsals for Cats are already well under way.
Local identities star in this intricate and captivating production, with each cat charming or harming in their unique and charismatic ways.
The musical production will showcase some surprising new talent, as well as the usual talented line-up.

Performances run for two weekends, on July 18-19 and July 24-25.
