COMMONWEALTH Bank's ATM and eftpos services have crashed across Australia, with the bank scrambling to fix the problem.

The bank was flooded with complaint calls this morning, with many customers unable to withdraw cash using ATMs or pay using eftpos.

CommBank said it was a "transaction processing issue" that continues to affect eftpos transactions and some ATMs.

The bank couldn't offer timing for when the issue will be resolved, adding that customers can still access their accounts via the internet, the phone or through branches.

"We're working on it as a matter of priority," said the spokeswoman for CommBank.
