Cenotaph at Alton Downs in line for funding for repairs

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council looks set to provide $1320 to the Alton Downs Hall Association for repairs to the town's cenotaph.

A report considered at yesterday's performance and service committee meeting said the cenotaph was the central place for commemorative services.

Alton Downs also has a long history of those who served in the armed forces.

The money would be made available through the Gr8 Spaces Program with repairs to take place before next month's Centenary of Anzac activities.
