THE LAST time Clermont's Darren Brandenburg sat in the seats at Browne Park was to watch a game between the Comets and the Cowboys.

But tonight the two-time Australian Bull Riding Champion will be watching the action from the chutes to see if any of the PBR riders can stay on his bull, Gotcha Rockin, the 2015 PBR Bucking Bull of the Year.

Darren said he was looking forward to an entertaining night and giving the riders a challenge.

"Gotcha Rockin is the 2015 PBR Bucking Bull of the Year and so far has never been ridden yet out of the 40 events he's been to, so I'm hoping one of the riders can challenge him," he said.

"I think he's the one to look out for, being undefeated for so long, you can't get any better than the bucking bull of the year. Along with Gotcha Rockin we've brought another 23 bucking bulls here for the event.

"It's going to be a really good night of bull riding. We've got such a good venue, some of the best riders in the country and 50 of some of the toughest bulls too, so the hits are going to be big, the action is going to be big and it's going to be a really good night."

Darren spends most of his time at rodeos and bull riding events but said Rocky's PBR was definitely becoming a popular annual event on the calendar.

"The PBR is going strong with the amount of people coming to the events," he said.

"Rocky is a city but at the same time it's a country place and there's a lot of people here interested in the sport. It's always been pretty famous with the Rocky Stampede, the local rodeos and now the PBR."
