Changes in July should be fairer for lower power users

THE Queensland Competition Authority today met with Ergon representatives and members of the community to discuss fixed and variable user charges for the 2014/15 financial year.

A QCA representative told The Morning Bulletin some of these changes by July 1 2014 are expected to be much fairer on customers who have low power usage.

It's believed the daily usage fixed charge for tariff 11 residential customers will increase by more than 60% in the 2014/15 financial year and the variable rate will reduce by an unknown percentage.
