Capricorn Animal Aid can continue work thanks to donations

CAPRICORN Animal Aid will be able to pay its August vet bills after generous donations from the public, including Rescued With Love Inc., a Victorian organisation.

Katina Kilpatrick from CAA said more than $5000 in donations would also allow the charity to take in a select number of animals in September.

Initially, CAA had suspended operations in September due to financial problems.

"We won't have a blanket ban, but we do have to be very cautious," Katina said.

"We can't afford to rescue every animal at any time, but it means we can afford to answer a couple."

Katina said CAA would consider raising their adoption fees in the future.

She said it wasn't something they wanted to do, but it would reduce stress on volunteers.
