Hundreds of chickens killed in truck rollover at Wulkuraka

A TRUCK carrying hundreds of chickens has rolled on a Wulkuraka road, killing many of the birds.

The accident took place about 3.50am on Toongarra Rd.

The male driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by fire crews.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed until 9.15am.
