Child locked in hot car

PARENTS are being urged by police to not leave their children unattended in vehicles, especially on hot days, after an incident yesterday afternoon.

Police and ambulance officers were called to a childcare centre on Farm St at 2.40pm after a triple 0 call about a child locked in a car in the carpark, and not in a shaded area.

Seven minutes later, someone smashed the right rear window to get to the child.

Ambulance officers checked the child and found no injuries or medical problems.
