Childcare worker on torture charge

UPDATE 11am: Police say the Central Queensland child care centre worker was a Moranbah woman.

BREAKING 8.30am: Investigations into two incidents at a Central Queensland child care centre have led to a local woman being charged with deprivation of liberty and assault.

Investigations conducted by members of the Queensland Police Service resulted in the charges yesterday.

 

A 21-year-old Central Queensland woman has been charged with deprivation of liberty, torture and two counts of assault and is expected to appear in court on October 25.

 

The children were not physically injured.
