Police investigating after children allegedly light fire

UPDATE 5.30PM: THE quick work of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and neighbours saved homes backing onto Frenchman's creek this afternoon. 

Just before 5pm, emergency services received numerous 000 calls reporting a fire in the creek behind Vallis and Limpus Sts. 

Police were called to the scene following reports from witnesses that three children, including a young blonde girl, who allegedly lit the fire, were running away from the creek. 

Fire crews have been run off their feet today with multiple blazes burning across the region, including a fire on Sawmill Rd, which is threatening homes. 

Investigations are continuing. 

 

BREAKING 5pm: THREE children have been seen running from the scene of a fire behind a unit on Limpus St.

The blaze is located near Glen Millar Park.
