'Chubby' robber wields knife in robbery at Ipswich Rd motel

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at Darra.

Initial reports indicate that around 10.50am, a man entered the motel on Ipswich Rd and jumped over the counter, demanding money from the attendant while armed with a knife.

He left the business on-foot with a sum of cash, heading out towards the car park.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 155cm tall, with a chubby build.

He was seen wearing a grey Nike zippered jacket, black shorts and white and black running shoes.

Police urge anyone who may have seen a man matching this description or who may have any other information which could assist in their investigations, to contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
