COAG meeting avoids school funding talks
THE Council of Australian Governments will meet in Canberra today.
State premiers, territory chief ministers and the Australian Local Government Association president will meet with Prime Minister Tony Abbott to discuss topics currently affecting the nation.
It is understood the controversial school funding model has been scrapped from the agenda. It also was dumped the last time the leaders met.
COAG was established to promote policy reforms that were of national significance or which needed all levels of government to co-ordinate activity.
