Comedian sets sights on Rocky

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council is providing students from Year 9 to 12 with an interest in stand-up comedy a unique opportunity to develop their skills.

Mel Buttle, from the Melbourne Comedy Touring Festival, will be in Rockhampton to share her knowledge of stand-up comedy.

Participants will learn how to develop a five-minute comedy piece to compete in the Rockhampton heat of the Class Clowns Competition to be held in June.

This free workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 27, from 4pm to 5.30pm at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre.

Spaces are limited. To book, call 4936 8344.
