Community digs deep for Grandparents Day

GREEN THUMBS: Colin Kime (left) and Cr Neil Fisher plant a tree in honour of all grandparents. Colin did the honours and was the oldest grandparent present, receiving an award. GRANDPARENTS Day in Gracemere was hosted by the Gracemere Pensioners and Superannuants, and the Gracemere Men's Shed.

Many thanks were expressed to the Rockhampton Regional Council for their valuable sponsorship and councillors Neil Fisher and Ellen Smith for their attendance.

A new playground now brings many people to Cedric Archer Park because of its unique attractions; and many enjoyed the free sausage sizzle.
