CCTV captures escaped prisoners in Emu Park supermarket

3.30pm: POLICE have release CCTV footage showing the two prisoners who escaped from the Capricornia Correctional Centre inside an Emu Park supermarket.

The footage shows both men, Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl, were still wearing prison's outfits they escaped in.

The men entered the IGA at Emu Park about 7.20pm last night.

2.40pm: A YOUNG cashier at the Emu Park IGA spoke to escaped prisoners Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl when they entered the store last night.

Police have released CCTV footage of the two men, still in their khaki prison uniforms, from inside the shop around 7.20pm last night.

CCTV Footage shows a shop assistant walked past the pair and two others - one in a bunny onesies - entered the store not long after.

Police also believe the men may be in a white 2002 Toyota Landcruiser which was stolen from a residential area in Glenlee sometime last night.

If you see the prisoners do not approach them and call 000 immediately.
12.45PM: AN UPDATE about the search for two prisoners who escaped the Capricornia Correctional Centre will take place at 1.30pm today.

It is believed both the Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Corrective Services will be providing the update to the media.

The Bulletin hopes to Live Video Stream the update, if all parties agree.

Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl were seen at the  Emu Park IGA  last night around 7.20pm, but disappeared before police arrived.

The pair escaped on Sunday night between 7.15pm and 9.15pm by rolling up a fence at the prison farm.

"If any member of the public sees either Morgan or Kuhl we ask that you do not approach them, that you dial 000, your local police or Crime Stoppers," Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon said.

Tuesday 11.40am: DETECTIVE Inspector Darrin Shadlow has confirmed that the two prisoners who broke out of the Capricornia Correctional Centre on Sunday night were spotted in Emu Park last night.

Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl were seen at the IGA around 7.20pm, but disappeared before police arrived.

Police were able to confirm the sighting after the pair were captured on CCTV footage.

Police are hoping to hold a press conference at 1pm with further information.

Monday 3.40pm: POLICE are currently investigation a couple of reports of possible sightings of two escaped prisoners along the Bruce Highway, Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road area.

Police continue to urge the public to not approach the prisoners.

The pair, Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl, escaped from the Capricornia Correctional Centre sometime between 7.15pm and 9.15pm.

11.30am: TWO prisoners who escaped from Capricornia Correctional Centre overnight by rolling up a fence have been spotted in the Rockhampton region.

The pair, Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl, escaped sometime between 7.15pm and 9.15pm.

"There have been some sightings around the local Rockhampton area, but we're just trying to confirm that they are legitimate sightings," Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon said.

"It would appear that they have escaped by rolling up a fence on the premises. 

"Corrective services investigation unit have been engaged and on their way from Brisbane, and we've also got a number of detectives conducting enquiries locally in an effort to locate both these people," he said. 

"If any member of the public sees either Morgan or Kuhl we ask that you do not approach them, that you dial 000, your local police or Crime Stoppers.

"I would like to say that harbouring an escaped prisoners carried a maximum term of imprisonment of two years and escaping lawful custody, such as these individuals have done, carries a maximum of seven years."

Morgan is serving a life sentence for murder.

Kuhl is serving a six-year sentence for armed robbery and other crimes.

Detective Inspector Darrin Shadlow said police were investigating a number of avenues.

"Kuhl has a number of family and associates in the Rockhampton and Yeppoon areas," he said.

"We have made contact with the majority of those people. Some of those are assisting us with our enquiries.

"Morgan has no known ties at this stage to this area so we're making further enquiries in relation to that in Caboolture, Burpungary and Bundaberg areas and we'll go from there.

"At this stage we do not know their direction of travel, so our enquiries are going both north and south." 

 

11.15am: THE search for two prisoners who escaped from the Capricornia Correctional Centre overnight will stretch as far as Caboolture.

The pair, Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl, escaped sometime between 7.15pm and 9.15pm.

Police said they escaped under a fence and there were no footprints or tyre tracks in the area. Correctional Services dogs failed to pick up a scent.

Police say they are speaking to a number of family members and friends of Kuhl in the Central Queensland region as part of investigations.

9.30am: Police will be talking to the media at 10am about the two men who escaped from Capricornia Correctional Centre overnight.

Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon will be available for comment in relation to the search for two male prisoners who escaped from a Correctional Facility at Etna Creek in Rockhampton overnight. 

Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl escaped from the prison farm in North Rockhampton last night and authorities were notified just after midnight.

Police are warning the public not to approach the two men but to call Triple-0 immediately if they are spotted.

Morgan is serving a life sentence for murder.

Kuhl is serving a six-year sentence for armed robbery and other crimes.

6am: A CONVICTED murderer has escaped from a Rockhampton prison with another inmate.

Police are warning the public not to approach the two men but to call Triple-0 immediately if they are spotted.

Police are hunting Tony Dwaine Morgan, who fled the Capricornia Correctional Facility, a prison farm in North Rockhampton. 

Authorities put out the alert just after midnight. Morgan is serving a life sentence for murder.

He is 180cm tall, weighs 79kg, has a fair complexion, blue eyes, and a "PURITY 100% ANGLO" tattoo on his chest.

Bradley Thomas Kuhl is also on the run, in the midst of a six-year-sentence for armed robbery and other crimes. 

Kuhl faced court in 2011, charged with pulling a rifle on a schoolgirl during a Yeppoon service station robbery.

Kuhl is 187cm tall, weighs 65kg, has a medium complexion and black hair.

He has "Thomas" tattooed on his left forearm, "Alyssa" on his right, "Brad" on his right knuckles, a redback spider on his chest, and four playing cards on his upper right leg.
