Costly mini motorbike ride for Rocky man
A ROCKHAMPTON man who tried to escape police on his mini motorbike on Bolsover St on November 8 was fined $673 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday.
The court heard Layne Andrew Dougan and two friends were riding the unregistered and uninsured mini motorbikes to a riding track at 4pm.
Police prosecutor Clancy Fox told the court Dougan's two friends fled from police but his motorbike broke down.
Dougan told police he had never held a licence and the bikes were unable to be registered or insured.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of driving unlicensed and driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.
