Country boys to strut their stuff
THEY'RE no Brad Pitt but two country boys have thrown their hats in for Rockhampton's first male model competition.
Get ready girls, it's time to watch Rockhampton guys strut their stuff down the catwalk at Strutters Nightclub for Manhunt Australia.
Good friends Owen McIlwaraith and Finn MacKenzie are the first to sign up for the comp and while they're in it for a bit of fun, winning would be a bonus.
While Owen comes across as a shy guy, he isn't timid when it comes to revving it up on his motorbike.
“I have been riding since I was four,” the blue-eyed, curly-haired brunet said.
The 20-year-old is the 2IC at Ace Exhaust in Rockhampton and he loves to party.
Finn, who is a warehouse manager, is down-to-earth and says he will give anything a go.
“We expect our mates to have a good laugh, but I am excited about the experience to be honest,” Finn said.
The guys, who play soccer together for the Berserker club, both love to relax with a beer.
Owen and Finn will strut their stuff in swimwear and evening wear at Strutters Nightclub on November 7.
The winner of Manhunt in Rockhampton will be flown to Darwin to experience a week of the lifestyle and culture of the city and will stay at The Cavenagh, a popular tourist hotel in the CBD.
All finalists will have a chance to be part of the 2011 “Men of Manhunt Calendar” which will be shot at the national finals.
But it's not a body-building contest.
The winner of Manhunt will have everything that any woman could desire. Great looks, personality, charm and a great physique.
General manager of Strutters Nightclub, Wayne Klerkx, said it was a chance for the guys to get up there and give it a go while giving the girls something to look at.
