Courtney in fast lane to a model life
OVER the moon is how Courtney Brooker described the sensation of being the only girl in Australia to be selected as a wildcard for the Australian Supermodel of the Year competition.
She will skip the state finals of the competition and go straight to the national finals - the only person in the contest to do so.
"To be involved I had to submit photos, write about my experience in modelling and details about my goals," Courtney said.
She said this would be a major step in her modelling career.
After being sponsored by Statewide Conveyancing, Courtney was considered as a wildcard and was told the good news earlier this week.
Her mum will travel to Sydney as support.
But Courtney has a while to wait.
"The grand final will be in October,'' she said.
In the meantime she will be sticking to a strict eating and exercise plan while searching for sponsors for make-up and hair.
The competition will open up more doors for Courtney.
"I'm hoping to talk with agencies in Sydney," she said.
Now a freelance model, Courtney's next local job will be for the House of Harli on March 29 at 7pm at the Metro Cafe.
