Cowboys club explains why trophy and no players to visit
THE NRL grand final trophy will be making its way to Rockhampton, but the players won't be coming with it.
A Cowboys spokesperson said the trophy, won by the Cowboys after beating the Broncos in the final last month, will come to town on November 29 accompanied by CEO Greg Tonner.
However, the players will not make it, as they start their pre-season training the next day.
Rockhampton will be as far as the trophy tour will go; it has also headed as far west as Winton and Longreach.
