CQ farmer looking for true love on screen
AFTER years working on the land, Farmer Lance wants to find himself a wife.
The Gracemere farmer, 52, is opening his heart and hoping to find love on reality television show Farmer Wants a Wife.
Lance, whose last name cannot yet be revealed for privacy reasons, is one of the finalists in the casting for the television show.
On his Farmer Wants a Wife profile, the father of two describes himself as "a hard working, loving larrikin with a heart of gold... a country gentleman".
"I'd do anything to help my friends, family or someone in need," he wrote.
"If there's someone in need I'm there for them."
Lance grew up in a country town, but made his money to invest in property working on pipelines.
He said he was very close to his four sisters and mother, but met "some great blokes" through work who have also become family.
"My mates and I are always there for one another," he wrote.
"We like to fish and have a beer on the weekend.
"I've got a great relationship with my family and friends and would do anything for them."
Lance's perfect companion would be a genuine woman aged 45-50, who takes pride in themselves.
"I pride myself in keeping fit and strong and would like that in a partner," he wrote.
"She's got to be able to commit with me as I do with her.
"We need to run the business and property as one.
"I'm looking for a full partner.
"You've got to be together and compatible… and do things together."
