CQU signs pact with mine council

CQ UNIVERSITY Australia is playing a key role in the future of the resources sector in Central Queensland, according to the sector’s peak representative body.

The Queensland Resources Council has commended the university on its commitment to providing skills for the region’s minerals and energy sector.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the university and the resources council, the university is focusing on delivering key engineering and science skills for the industry, as well as the skills that are required for sustainable resource sector communities including health, childcare and business.
